The building has a special character as it is all made with the traditional old Corfiot bricks. It sits on the right hand side of the road which leads from the village of Vatos down to the Ropa Valley – there is easy on street parking immediately outside the covered entrance to the apartment which is a grand proportioned wide brick arch creating a very nice entrance to the two first floor apartments – one to the right and the one to the left which is for sale. Directly in front of you is the dramatic panoramic view of the Ropa Valley. The building consists of four apartments, two on each floor – because of the aspect of the entrance and the fact that the building is built into the hill, you are not aware of the ground floor apartments, only from the edge of the valley side terrace do you overlook the gardens of the two apartments below. This apartment occupies all the left side of the first floor of the building. The main door opens into a hallway which continues as a corridor. On the left side is the spacious bathroom and next to it is one bedroom. On the right side is the second bedroom and at the end of the corridor is the open plan fitted kitchen with the sitting area. A big feature open fire place decorates the room while large French doors give access to the veranda which runs along the front side of the building overlooking the view of the valley to Mount Pantokrator. This main room as well as the bedroom on the right enjoy uninterrupted open views over the valley. The floors in the apartment are a combination of tiles, stone tiles and wood to create a soft aesthetic which is soothing on the eye. The windows and doors are wooden and the apartment is centrally heated. |
