Entrance is via marble steps at either side above a large arched doorway on the ground floor. At the point where both flights of steps meet is a covered veranda, known as "bodzos". A large wooden door set into roughly hewn marble surround, opens to a very big lounge. This room has two windows overlooking the front garden.

Floors are of wood and the ceilings are heavily beamed and painted in a soft shade of apple green, which compliments the dark wood furniture, windows and doors. An elegant fireplace dominates one wall with doors on either side leading into two of the bedrooms.
