Approximately 250 years old, the building has never been modernised. Built into the natural landscape, the house benefits from two separate upper levels and has three entrance doors. Accessed via a side door is another very traditional room, built into the bedrock with a flagstone floor and a large corner fireplace. This was the old bake house kitchen. These old open ovens were extremely efficient at baking and heating the house and with minor restoration work can be incorporated as a feature fireplace. Next to this is a larger room with wooden floor. The land surrounding the property is set into the natural landscape and it would take little effort to create a garden. A small stone outbuilding situated at the front is also included. Minor pruning of the olive trees would open up the views. Character properties such as this one are rare in this area and once renovated it would become a unique home in a highly sought after location. |
