The house was built in 1983 in the old Corfiot style and it is characterized by the old Corfiot bricks, used throughout the house. Three steps divide the house into two different levels. On the first level is the sitting room the dining room and the kitchen. High and old brick decorated arches are connecting the rooms. A big open fireplace sits on one of the sitting room’s wall. Large patio doors are giving access, from the sitting room and the dining room, to the covered terraced areas. The floors in this level are made with old Corfiot bricks and the ceilings are beamed and wooden. The kitchen is open plan and fully fitted and stands behind another high arch. A door through the kitchen gives access to the annexe. Here are 3 rooms and a shower bathroom. The room directly connected with the kitchen is used for storage and utilities. Off this room a second door opens to the west side open area, giving easy access to drop off shopping etc. The next room is used for extra accommodation and has also a private entrance. Next to it is the store room for the boiler and other equipments. On one side of the second level are the 3 bedrooms. On the other side is the master bedroom with en suite bathroom, a second bathroom and the guest toilet. All bedrooms have air condition units and wall to wall carpets. Two attics of 24sq.m under the roof are used as storerooms. There is under floor heating and satellite TV. The house is self –sufficient for water supply with a 100m³ tank. It is also connected to the main water supply. On the upper level of the terraced areas sits the swimming pool with views to Corfu and the famous Achilleon palace. The area is surrounded by stone walls and vegetation. |
